Video

I’ve been offline for a bit. Internet access has been sketchy, but I had to post this:

I’ve seen miracles.

I read an article or two the other day, and decided that I just had to write a bit about underwear. 🙂

OK, so undies aren’t usually within the fields of the health-nutty thing, or the Ancient Hebrew Pictographs thing, or connections between the two.  I guess, maybe it has more to do with the self-sustaining / sustainable thing, though… which does relate back to those in a round-about way…

I was scooting around online, checking my mail in between loads of laundry, dishes, diapers, and schoolwork, and my attention was caught by a video claiming to connect the status of the economy with mens’ underwear sales. Methinks, “YUP– been there! When we’re broke, and it’s a choice between buying food and…” OK, we’ll not go there. Then, I got off on a tangent, looking into the manufacture of those undies, and the outsourcing that “affordable” undies have done… I was sickened by not only the twistedness of the “money gods” who wouldn’t provide functional conditions or compensation to these people, but who further bought off congress to oppress an entire country, disallowing their government to raise their own minimum wage (and we wonder why we can’t compete with outsourcing and why we’re losing our jobs here???!!!) and the death threats???!!!

OK, so… breathing a bit… I’m not one to have very many dollars in “voting power,” but one thing we do buy new is undies. We’ve long since quit buying anything made by slave children in China. The kiddos check the labels carefully now. There are things that just don’t get replaced very often, but it makes for taking better care of what we have, anyhow.  Beyond that, it’s built a confidence that we can make things for ourselves a lot of the time, or function without some the “necesseties” that we “had to have” for survival. Now we’re independent of some of those things, and it’s empowering. Fruit of the Loom will not be getting any more blood from this one little turnip, even if I have to sew our family’s undies myself!

He who oppresses the poor to make more for himself
Or who gives to the rich, will only come to poverty.

–Proverbs 22:16

YHWH, in the original sense of the word, please, Judge!

Hmmm… now this makes some sense. In an Ancient Hebrew wedding ceremony, the prospective groom is required to delineate what he is willing to give for and to his prospective bride in a Ketubah  (written marriage agreement). Four things were required: Food, Clothing, Shelter, and Marital Rights, plus it might include other, optional things, along with a bride price, paid to her father, all of which she had to approve before agreeing to marry him. Makes sense. He works for her (someone he values enough to work for), she owns his house. Security, in exchange for working for him and bearing his children. In that culture, at that time, a woman had more security than many women do now, in some ways. At least then, in that culture, he had to be willing to acknowledge that she was worth something, and give her a place to live, sustenance, and pleasure. Too many women don’t even get a ring now-a-days …and call it “liberated.”

Can you picture a girl now-a-days saying, “Um, yeah, I like you and all, but I need a house, and if you don’t feed me, clothe me, and offer yourself to me on a regular basis, I’ll have grounds for divorce, and I want it all in writing, and witnessed by my father before I’ll marry you.” Somewhere along the line, women got gypped! …oh, wait a minute… that would be in reference to gypsies, wouldn’t it… which might be closer to the ancient culture than to the modern (dunno– haven’t studied gypsy culture intensively). ‘Gotta watch my language LOL!

Past and present oppressors have fallen, or will fall.

One of those Natural Laws– it’s just going to happen.

He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches and he that giveth to the rich shall surely come to want.

Proverbs 22:16

May we be privileged to witness the deliverances, and to participate in facilitating them!

Honoring the Breath of Life in every bearer may be the first step toward peace… Were we all to be released (free) from the unnatural impositions of twisted government… twisted marketing… or worse yet, the marriage of the two… what could that look like?

If I were trying to control and make slaves of a free nation, I guess maybe I’d give the illusion that the people were free, feeding them propaganda that tells them they should give up their outdated right to keep and bear arms– “the government takes care of that now.” I’d also tightly control a facade of  “Freedom of the Press” and “Freedom of Speech.”  That way they’d have no means by which to regain those real rights, once they figured out they were being fed a line of bull.

Remember that bit: “the powers… reserved… to the people”

There are two ways of exerting one’s strength: one is pushing down, the other is pulling up.
–Booker T. Washington

May we find freedom in lifting one another up.

Empowered

Real power isn’t in political prowess, dominance, oppression, feminism or even emancipation.  Real power is in understanding the Natural Laws that affect everyone, and working in harmony with them to support the Design that is bigger than any “world power.”
The word used in Genesis / Bereshiyt to describe the Designer means Powers / powers. The translators rendered it both God and gods to describe the Almighty, or to describe lesser “powers” that people often chose to fear. There are no capital or lower case letters in Ancient Hebrew, so when we read our English versions, we have to keep in mind that the translators chose the word to which they, personally believed that the original text was referring. They were all pictures of concrete concepts, written in stone or on clay pot shards or animal hides. At any rate, Here’s “power” or “god”:

Aleph-Lamed-Vav-Hey:
Aleph: Bull’s Head: Strength / Authority / First
Lamed: Shepherd’s Staff: Teaching / Instructing / Pointing the way
Vav: Tent Peg: Nailing down / Securing
Hey: Man Standing in Awe: “Wow, LOOK!”

Power is the Strong Leadership that Teaches and Points the Way that Secures Awesome results.
That Strong Leadership is the Designer’s Breath of Life that is breathed into each of us. When we use that Breath we’ve been given to walk in the Way Pointed out by the Natural Laws in the Teaching and Instruction of Scripture, we work in harmony, Securing the Awesome results our Designer has planned.

May we use wisely the powers reserved to us, to lift others, and subsequently ourselves up, and to set others, and subsequently ourselves free.
